American President Donald Trump signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America (USA) and Iran to end the war on Wednesday evening in Paris, which was also done in Tehran by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, and as Reuters reports today, Trump at the same time threatened new attacks and assassinations of Iranian officials if they violate the agreement.
The memorandum on ending the war was signed electronically, so there will be no signing ceremony in Switzerland, as was previously hinted.
Oil prices fell on Wednesday due to the prospects of reopening Hormuz, an important shipping route between Iran and Oman, so a barrel of Brent crude oil was below 80 dollars, which is the lowest level since the beginning of the war.
After Trump threatened a possible renewal of violence, the price of oil later increased again by more than one percent.
The American portal Axios was the first to publish on the social network X, citing two high-ranking American officials, that the US and Iran had electronically signed a Memorandum of Understanding to end the war and that the agreement had entered into force.

Iranian leaders did not comment on the new threats, as they celebrated by publishing photos of the first agreement between two presidents since the founding of the Islamic Republic in 1979.
Everything we wanted to achieve through military action, we got manifold more through negotiations, it cannot even be compared, said Iran’s chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf about the agreement, which includes the unfreezing of billions of dollars of Iranian assets, the British agency reports.

America and Israel launched a war against Iran on February 28, and the attacks killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as well as numerous military officials.
The attacks quickly turned into a regional conflict, as Iran responded with attacks on American allies in the Persian Gulf.
The 14-point agreement, signed electronically in Versailles after the Group of Seven summit, extends the ceasefire announced in April for an additional 60 days, including Lebanon, to allow the parties to negotiate a final truce.

The deal provides for the complete restoration of maritime traffic, free of charge, in the Strait of Hormuz, the lifting of the US blockade of Iranian ports, the lifting of US sanctions on Iran, the unfreezing of its assets, and a 300-billion-dollar investment fund for the post-war reconstruction of Iran.
Trump and Pezeshkian digitally signed the memorandum in English and Farsi, US and Iranian officials said.
The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the agreement entered into force on Wednesday evening.
Trump signed the Memorandum just before dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Palace of Versailles, the site of the signing of the treaty of the same name that formally ended World War I.
