Viktor Kecman, a young basketball player who died yesterday, was a second-year student at the First Belgrade Gymnasium. As we have learned, the boy suddenly died after feeling unwell at school, collapsing and losing consciousness. Despite the rapid intervention of the Emergency Medical Service and his transportation to the “Dr Vukan Čupić” Institute for Mother and Child Health, there was nothing that could be done to save him.
As “Blic” learns, the Emergency Medical Service received a call reporting that a student had collapsed and was unconscious. Until the pediatric team arrived, instructions for resuscitation were provided continuously.
The Emergency Medical Service team transported him from the school to the “Dr Vukan Čupić” Institute for Mother and Child Health, where his death was pronounced.
As confirmed to “Blic,” Viktor was a student at the First Belgrade Gymnasium, and his sudden death left the school staff, his peers and their families in shock.
The basketball club he played for speaks out
The exact causes of this great tragedy are not yet known to the public, and the sad news was confirmed by Beovuk, the club where Viktor played basketball.
The Belgrade club addressed the public regarding this tragic event through its official social media channels, where it shared a deeply emotional statement, which we are publishing in full:

Viktor was much more than a member of our club, he was our child, our friend and, above all, a wonderful boy. We extend our deepest and most sincere condolences to his family and loved ones. It is our duty to preserve the memory of our Keci forever from being forgotten. Rest in peace, Keci. Your Beovuk loves you,” the Belgrade club said in its statement.
