Milić witnessed the shooting in the restaurant in Senjak, then helped the perpetrator

According to sources from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on May 12, Veselin Milić arranged a meeting between two criminals in a restaurant in Senjak, one of whom is a member of Keka’s group, Aleksandar Nešović, known as Baja, who was in a dispute with V.S. known as Boske, in order to smooth over their damaged relations.

Milić, along with Boske, allegedly waited for Nešović in the restaurant, and when Nešović arrived, a verbal altercation soon broke out between the two of them. Then, Boske fired several shots at Nešović in full view of Milić.

According to findings by Danas, members of Milić’s security, who are police officers, helped Boske carry away the unconscious Nešović.

Nešović’s disappearance was reported by his wife, who stated that he had gone to the aforementioned restaurant.

The police suspect that Nešović was killed, and his body is still being searched for.

Who is Veselin Milić?

The chief of the Belgrade police, Veselin Milić, has performed this function in multiple mandates, and was appointed for the first time in 2013.

He held the position of chief until August 2018, when he moved to a new duty and became the advisor to the President of the Republic of Serbia for the fight against corruption and crime, as well as the assistant director for the improvement, organization, and functioning of the Police Directorate, Istinomer wrote.

While some saw this as a promotion, others saw it as Milić’s removal from an important function, because the Belgrade Police Administration is the largest and most important administration.

He was appointed chief of the Belgrade Police Administration again at the end of 2020, and he still holds that position. He was returned at the time when the Minister of Police was Aleksandar Vulin.
