An anonymous bomb threat, stating that a bomb will be placed in the building tomorrow, has been sent to the administration of the Faculty of Political Sciences (FPN) in Belgrade. FPN Dean Maja Kovačević immediately reacted and reported the case to the police, who are now positioned in front of the faculty.

After the anonymous threatening message arrived at FPN’s administration email, stating that a bomb would be placed in the building tomorrow, the administration reacted. The police, already on site, are awaiting Dean Kovačević’s approval to enter the faculty and conduct a search.

“We received a threat that a bomb will be placed tomorrow. We have informed the police. It’s likely a false threat, but we have to react,” Professor Maja Kovačević, Dean of FPN, told Nova.rs.

After their investigation and consultation with the dean, the police will decide whether to evacuate the building, where students are currently maintaining a blockade.

The police will determine whether it is a false alarm or a serious threat.

As a reminder, the Teaching-Scientific Council of the Faculty of Political Sciences voted on June 5 to begin online classes at the faculty. However, FPN students in blockade announced on June 10 that they had completely blocked the faculty building due to the Teaching-Scientific Council’s decision to start online classes. They have been in the faculty building day and night since then, and the police will decide today whether the students in blockade will have to be evacuated due to the bomb threat.
