Just as their fellow students arrived in Strasbourg by bicycle, the protesting students are announcing a new endeavor — a group of them will run a relay from Novi Sad to Brussels, where a session of the European Parliament is scheduled for May, with the situation in Serbia on the agenda.
On Friday, April 26, 16 runners will depart from Novi Sad heading to Brussels, as announced on the Instagram account “Trkači u blokadi” (“Runners in Protest”). The relay ultramarathon is, as stated, planned in accordance with the European Parliament’s session schedule, and the action includes delivering letters.
“On the day our cyclists arrived in Strasbourg, we announce that our ultramarathon relay team will also run. They ran to Kragujevac, Niš, and Belgrade, and they will run to Brussels too,” the students announced last night.
The student ultramarathoners will run the route: Novi Sad – Osijek – Virovitica – Varaždin – Graz – Oberpullendorf – Vienna – Seitenstetten – Salzburg – Munich – Ulm – Stuttgart – Strasbourg – Metz – Luxembourg – Liège – Brussels.
According to the plan, the students are expected to arrive in Brussels on May 11.
