Students from the “Nikola Tesla” Regional Center for Young Talents won five medals at the World Olympiad on Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection and the World Championship of Social Science Research Papers, held in Bali, the center announced.
Marko Langović, a student of the Sixth Belgrade Grammar School, won a gold medal for his geography paper, while Lana Štulić, a student of the “Ruđer Bošković” Grammar School, won a bronze medal for her psychology paper.
Teodora Ignjatović, a student of Zaječar Grammar School, took first place for her poster presentation.
At the Olympiad on Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection, Tomica Đurđević, a student of Valjevo Grammar School, won a silver medal, Ana Savićević, a student of the Eighth Belgrade Grammar School, won a bronze medal, while Katarina Jovanov from the same school also won a bronze medal.
The center’s students achieved this success in an extremely strong field, as 140 high school students from 17 countries participated in the aforementioned competitions, the statement said, adding that the students of the Regional Center for Talents have continued their successful streak at prestigious world science Olympiads and international competitions, bringing the total number of medals won this year to 65.
