Serbian basketball player Uroš Trifunović has encountered issues with Donald Trump and entry into the USA.

Trifunović was on the Houston roster for the NBA Summer League, and it was announced that he could play against Detroit in Las Vegas. However, the Serbian national team player did not appear in the game, and information later arrived that he had not traveled to the USA at all.

New Regulations Cited as Reason

“Sport klub” states that the reason for this is U.S. regulations that make it difficult for foreigners to enter the country. The decisions made by the administration led by Donald Trump are currently such that it was impossible for the former Partizan basketball player to travel to Las Vegas.

Uroš Trifunović played for Partizan until 2024, and last season he was very good wearing the Tofaş jersey. He averaged 11.4 points in the Turkish championship.
