The Municipality of Mali Zvornik announced on its Facebook page that it has appealed to the Center for Social Work in the town to intervene in cases where minors participate in road blockades and that their parents will bear responsibility in accordance with the law.
This announcement was shared on Instagram by Marinika Tepić, Vice President of the Freedom and Justice Party.
“Just when we think it can’t get any worse. Vučić’s officials have started demanding that Social Work Centers initiate proceedings against parents whose children are at protests, or who are at protests together with their children. The hunt for parents was opened by the Mayor of Mali Zvornik, Zoran Jevtić. Mali Zvornik, by the way, regularly ‘pumps’,” Tepić wrote.
Municipality Cites Security Council Decision
As seen in the announcement from the Municipality of Mali Zvornik, this decision was made by the Security Council.
“The Center for Social Work ‘Mali Zvornik’ was proposed to, within its authority, react in cases where minors participate in road blockades, as well as towards their parents, who bear responsibility in accordance with the law,” the statement reads.
They also state that the proposals have been submitted to the Municipality of Mali Zvornik, the Center for Social Work, the Police Directorate, the Šabac Police Department, as well as the prosecutor’s office and courts in Loznica.
