L. D. (19), suspected of snatching the phone from director and professor at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts Stevan Filipović, was arrested on the order of the First Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, questioned, and then released.
“Regarding the attack on director and professor at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts Stevan Filipović, we inform the public that inspectors of the MUP, RS, PU for the city of Belgrade, PS Stari Grad, in cooperation with the First Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, revealed the identity and deprived of liberty the person who was determined to have snatched the victim Stevan F.’s phone, and then smashed it on the asphalt, which was also recorded on surveillance camera footage,” announced the First Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office today.
Suspect L.D. (19) was charged with the criminal offense of violent behavior under Article 344, paragraph 2 in connection with paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code, and was questioned at the prosecutor’s office on August 12, 2026.
“He presented a defense and described the actions of the criminal offense with which he was charged in the criminal report. Bearing in mind that the suspect presented a defense, that he did not deny participating in the event in the manner charged, that he has no prior convictions, and that he has a properly registered place of residence, the prosecution did not propose ordering custody, but in the further course of the proceedings the suspect will defend himself from freedom,” it was announced.
In relation to the other two persons who dealt multiple blows to the victim and inflicted injuries on him, the police are searching.
The public will be informed about further actions of the prosecution.
