The Denver Nuggets achieved a golden victory against Oklahoma after overtime and now lead the series 2-1 in the Western Conference semifinals.
Nikola Jokić was not himself, especially when it came to shooting. He made only 8 out of 25 attempts, finishing the game with 20 points, 16 rebounds, six assists, but also as many as seven turnovers. He shot 0 for 10 from three-point range.
“I was the worst player on the court, but we won the game. That’s the most important thing!” Jokić said about his team’s big victory.

The Serb admitted that nothing went as he planned.
“I was frustrated. Several balls went out of the basket, several times I was completely open. It happens, I tried to be useful to the team in other ways.”
When asked what bothered him about the Thunder’s defense, the three-time NBA MVP did not have a precise answer.
“Their hands are always on my body. They are constantly in contact, doubling me, blocking the passing lane. It’s clear that they are doing something well, and I have to figure out what it is and find a solution.”
Denver could have won in regulation, but Jokić missed a corner three-pointer. However, in overtime, the Nuggets shined.
“It was a real team game. Aaron Gordon hit an important shot, Murray was great the whole game, Porter made a three-pointer. However, I think the key to success was defense,” concluded the guy from Sombor.
