A 34-year-old Serbian woman has been arrested in the Greek resort town of Leptokaria on suspicion of murdering her husband, Kostas Siamitras (58), five months ago and then attempting to cover up the crime.
The lawyer representing the family of the murdered Kostas Siamitras (58) claims that the suspect had one or more accomplices, as he believes she could not have committed the crime alone. These suspicions were raised by Anastasios Dagas, the legal representative of the victim’s father and brothers, in a statement to the Greek portal “Protothema.”
The father of the murdered Kostas, a Greek citizen, previously stated that he does not know the motive for the crime but is convinced that the suspect had assistance. The key question being raised is how a 34-year-old woman, who was already pregnant at the time, managed to move the body 25 meters and dig a hole, especially considering the obstacles in the yard and the hard summer-dried ground.
A particularly chilling detail highlighted by lawyer Dagas is that the suspect buried the body in the yard of the family home while their three-year-old son was playing nearby. The child reportedly pointed to the burial site multiple times and repeatedly said “daddy, daddy,” leading the family to believe that the child may have witnessed the crime or its aftermath.
Criticism of Police Investigation
The lawyer also criticized the police for investigative failures. According to him, while investigators may have searched the house, they failed to notice the freshly dug earth in the yard.
He also pointed out that the house has still not been sealed off, raising further questions about how the investigation is being conducted.

Phone Signal and Child’s Drawing
As reported by ALFA, the crime was “revealed” by the mobile phone of Kostas Siamitras after ELAS investigators traced its last signal to the family home.
Additionally, a child psychologist was involved in the case and conducted multiple sessions with the three-year-old child of the victim and the 34-year-old suspect. The most recent session took place on Wednesday, February 5.
According to available information, during one of the sessions, the child drew unusual shapes, which raised suspicions among the psychologist. The expert noticed that something was wrong, further intensifying concerns and putting additional pressure on the 34-year-old suspect.
The Crime and Discovery of the Body
The crime, as a reminder, took place on September 1, 2024, when a conflict broke out between the 34-year-old woman and her partner, Kostas Siamitras. During the argument and exchange of accusations, as she admitted to the police, the woman pushed him, causing him to lose balance, fall, and hit his head on the floor.
After that, she carried the body into the yard and buried it. ELAS investigators, during the forensic examination, discovered the victim’s skull and shoulder blades at a depth of about 40 centimeters.
Family Seeks Custody of Child
The father of the murdered Kostas Siamitras stated that the family did not expect such an outcome and announced that they would take legal action to obtain custody of the couple’s three-year-old child.
“We never expected that his wife would be his killer. I have a three-year-old grandson, and I want to keep him. I was present every day, but I never noticed any problems between them,” said the victim’s father.
