Partizan basketball players recorded a new victory in the Euroleague, as they defeated Baskonia in Spain 91:79 after drama and a tie in the last quarter. This victory is all the greater because the black-and-whites celebrated against Baskonia after 24 years!

Partizan started great in Spain. Vanja Marinković scored key three-pointers, while Karlik Jones controlled the rhythm of the game and set up his teammates. However, little by little, Baskonia struck back, managed to reduce the black-and-whites’ advantage, and brought the game to a tie, announcing a dramatic finish.

The first quarter was marked by Partizan, which imposed its rhythm from the start. Marinković and Sterling Brown opened the match with three-pointers, while Karlik Jones and Jabari Parker contributed with constant points and good movement without the ball. Although the home players managed to briefly take the lead thanks to Noel’s points, Partizan managed to maintain control and finish the quarter with a slight advantage.

In the second quarter, Baskonia began to reduce the deficit, but Partizan responded with strong defense and precise attacks. Bonga’s three-pointers, points from Parker and Karlik Jones maintained the black-and-whites’ advantage, and with a series of defenses and rebounds, Partizan managed to keep a minimal lead. At the end of the half, Jabari Parker was precise for +8.

The third quarter brought intense play from both sides. Partizan opened the second half fantastically. Parker and Tyrique Jones were completely in the game and dominated in both phases of the game, and Tyrique raised the black-and-white fans to their feet after a powerful dunk.

Thus, the black-and-whites reached +16, 63:47, and then an incredible drop in their game followed. Little by little, Baskonia returned to the match. Luwawu now scores a three-pointer, and then fouls Karlik Jones. However, the referees change the decision. The foul is called on Karlik Jones. Luka Šamanič is excellent under the Partizan basket and reduces the black-and-whites’ advantage to 63:54.
