A famous restaurant on Ada was the target of an attack last night, when as of yet unknown persons attempted to set it on fire by throwing an incendiary device, suspected to be a Molotov cocktail, Telegraf.rs learns.
As Telegraf.rs learns, the attack occurred around one hour after midnight, and the incendiary device, fortunately, did not activate the way the attackers most likely expected. The Molotov cocktail did not cause a fire, but only damaged the doors of the facility.
At the moment of the incident, a woman was in the restaurant who, according to initial information, saw two men. However, she was unable to see their faces, which is why it is currently unknown who the persons connected to this attack are.
The police have been informed of the case and all circumstances of this incident are being determined, as well as the motive for which the famous restaurant on Ada was the target of an attempted arson.
Fortunately, there were no injuries in the incident, and major material damage was avoided because the Molotov cocktail did not ignite.
The collection of footage from surveillance cameras is underway, as well as an intensive search for the attackers.
The investigation is ongoing.
