Belgrade police have located and arrested Ž. M. (50), the driver who struck three people today in the Bele Vode neighborhood with a BMW, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) announced.
Emergency services transported the injured individuals to the Emergency Center for further medical care.
The driver actively resisted arrest but was subdued and taken into custody by the police.
Authorities are continuing their investigation in cooperation with the relevant prosecutor’s office to determine all facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.
It is worth noting that a video circulating on social media shows an injured woman in front of the Vera store in Žarkovo. According to reports, an unidentified individual hit pedestrians and then fled the scene.
