A horrific crime shook Petrovac na Mlavi this evening when, according to initial reports, a son allegedly shot his own mother, inflicting severe injuries.
The incident unfolded around 9 p.m. in a family home, where a man reportedly fired a shot from a firearm in the direction of his mother inside the residence.

The injured woman suffered serious bodily harm and was urgently transported by ambulance to the nearest medical facility, where doctors are currently fighting to save her life.
Numerous police patrols arrived at the scene shortly afterward, immediately cordoning off access to the house and securing the crime scene.
Pedestrians and vehicles have been barred from passing through this part of the settlement while investigators conduct an on-site examination. Detectives are working to determine all the circumstances and the motive behind this shocking attack, which has left the local community in disbelief.
