The President of Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik, stated that today he will send a new Constitution of Republika Srpska to public debate, which will clearly specify the authentic constitutional solutions of RS.
“This Constitution will not be in contradiction with the Constitution of BiH, because RS advocates for the original Dayton Peace Agreement. The public debate should last 15-20 days,” Dodik said in the show “Special” on Radio-Television RS (RTRS).
He stated that in the new constitution, the capital of RS will be Banja Luka, instead of Sarajevo, as it is according to the current entity constitution.
Commenting on accusations from Sarajevo that the adoption of laws in the RS parliament last night, which challenge the operation of state judicial institutions and the BiH Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) on the territory of RS, constituted a coup d’état, Dodik said that from Sarajevo “they can only salute.”

“Republika Srpska has its own position and its own path. If there is a coup d’état, and there isn’t, you can’t strike at something that doesn’t exist,” he said.
He added that he “lives for the day when he will expel SIPA from RS,” calling the arrest of two men in Banja Luka last night, who threatened Judge Sena Uzunović, who was conducting court proceedings against him, “maltreatment.”
“Because of a video post, our boys are being mistreated in Sarajevo. You won’t do that anymore. I will ask for the names of those who have no patriotic feelings. Why are you humiliating people?” Dodik said.
