The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers requested a statement from the B&H Presidency regarding the Resolution on establishing peace in Europe, which was submitted to the UN by the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump, and regarding the proposals from other sponsors on the same topic. However, as SRNA learns, the Bosniak member of the Presidency, Denis Bećirović, refused to express his opinion.
SRNA has learned that only the Serbian member and Chairwoman of the Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, supported the resolution proposal of U.S. President Donald Trump.
When asked to comment on SRNA’s findings regarding Bećirović’s move, Cvijanović expressed regret that the Bosniak member refused to voice his opinion on the Resolution sent to the UN by President Trump’s administration regarding the establishment of peace in Europe and on the proposals from other sponsors on the same topic.
She emphasized that the obligation of Ambassador Zlatko Lagumdžija to not act unilaterally in the UN remains in place.
