At the prestigious International Young Physicists’ Tournament, held in Zurich, the Serbian team achieved a historic success by winning the silver medal, it was announced today.

Unlike traditional Olympiads, this competition is based on months of scientific research into open-ended physics problems and their defense through scientific debate.

The Serbian team was represented by Tijana Savić from the Kraljevo Gymnasium, Petar Tolimir from the “Ruđer Bošković” Gymnasium in Belgrade, Milica Milićević from the “Jovan Jovanović Zmaj” Gymnasium in Novi Sad, and Nemanja Maslak from the First Kragujevac Gymnasium.

Their mentors were Miloš Petrašinović, a master’s student at the Faculty of Physics, and Petar Petrašinović, a doctoral student at the Institute of Physics.
