Two young men of Albanian ethnicity insulted an Serbian Orthodox Church priest in Bujanovac on Wednesday evening, shouted UCK and displayed the symbol of “Greater Albania.” The incident occurred in the center of Bujanovac, near the former church school, now a parish house, Bujanovačke unofficially learned.
The Bujanovac priest who was subjected to the insults and provocations confirmed to our portal that he reported the case to the police, but said he did not want to make a statement because of the investigation.
The Vranje Police Department told Bujanovačke that the police had acted upon the report and that they were continuing to work on the case under the orders of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Vranje. For more information, they referred us to the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office. Bujanovačke contacted the prosecution and will publish their response during the day.
According to unofficial information, the perpetrators even urinated on the doorstep of the parish house.
As Blic reports, police in Bujanovac have already arrested the two attackers.
One is from Kosovo and Metohija, while the other is from Veliki Trnovac near Bujanovac.
