Footage from Pirot serves as a reminder of the importance of fulfilling our civic duty and the fact that today’s decision will influence many other aspects of our lives.

At polling station number 6 in the Barje neighborhood, Plusonline.rs filmed a bride and groom who decided to put their signatures on the voter register before saying “I do.”

“First, you have to fulfill your civic duty,” said Mina and Marko, who got up early to exercise their right to vote before officially becoming husband and wife and celebrating their wedding.

“Together, we decided to win here first, then win in life. Everything fell into place for this to happen today, so we will be winners everywhere. This is a new beginning, both for the country and for us,” Mina said.

“This is a message to everyone who says they don’t have time or have more pressing obligations today than voting,” Marko added.
