DOCTOR OF DENTISTRY BACK ON TOP: Vladimir wins silver at the European Masters Swimming Championship!

Vladimir Antonijević won Serbia’s first medal at the Masters European Swimming Championship, which is being held in the Slovakian city of Šamorín. In his favorite discipline, the 200-meter freestyle, Antonijević posted a time of 2:00.47 and claimed the silver medal in the 30–34 age category.

With this result, he confirmed his continued top form at major competitions. At the previous Masters European Championship, held in Belgrade in 2024, Antonijević won a total of four medals — gold in the 200m freestyle, silver in the 100m freestyle, as well as two bronze medals, in the 50m and 400m freestyle.

Although the Serbian team set a record on home soil in Belgrade with a total of 32 medals won, the situation in Šamorín is different. A significantly smaller number of competitors from Serbia are taking part this year, making a repeat of that overall medal tally difficult to achieve.

Despite this, the Serbian team’s motivation remains high. Serbian masters swimmers will seek to set new personal records and represent their country with distinction on the international stage.
