While most people plan their trips months in advance, Saša Martinović Struja from Niš decided to embark on a journey of thousands of kilometers on foot. His destination is the Atlantic Ocean, but his goal is far greater than the journey itself—promoting humanitarian values, healthy living, and helping those who need support the most.

On June 5, Saša launched the project “Human Journey Across Europe 360°” from the Romanian city of Arad. After covering his first kilometers through Romania and reaching Hungary, Italy, France, Spain, and finally Portugal await him, where he plans to conclude his European odyssey.

Although at first glance it may seem like an adventurous undertaking, Martinović emphasizes that there is a much deeper message behind it. For the past ten years, he has worked in the field of rehabilitation, helping people overcome physical and life challenges. For that reason, he wants to demonstrate that recovery does not have to take place solely in clinics, but can also be achieved through movement, spending time in nature, facing challenges, and meeting new people.

Throughout the journey, he documents the stories of people he encounters along the way. His goal is to create a documentary film showcasing examples of kindness, empathy, and willingness to help others, particularly in rural and lesser-known parts of Europe.

He received additional motivation for the project after a dramatic incident in Arad, where he was seriously injured in a knife attack by a colleague just a few days ago. According to him, the event reminded him of how unpredictable life can be and how important it is not to postpone dreams and goals for some better time in the future.

In addition to the documentary film, he plans to publish a series of five books in which he will compile the experiences, encounters, and life stories of the people he meets during his journey.

At the same time, he is working on completing an application dedicated to health and improving quality of life, with the aim of building a community of people willing to push their personal limits and break down mental barriers.

However, as he emphasizes, the humanitarian aspect of the project remains his most important objective. Through future activities and initiatives, he hopes to raise funds for children in need and demonstrate that every major endeavor can leave a positive mark on society.

What makes this project even more remarkable is the fact that it is not backed by major sponsors or wealthy investors. He is financing the journey himself, with support from people who believe in his idea and follow him on social media, where he regularly shares photos, videos, and impressions from the road.

With every passing day and every new kilometer behind him, Saša Martinović Struja is trying to prove that limits often exist only in our minds, and that the greatest changes become possible when we dare to take the first step.
