The United States officially acknowledges the deaths of only six of its armed forces members.
The U.S. has lost more soldiers and commanders who were killed or injured in the past 24 hours, the central headquarters of the Iranian military command “Hatam al-Aniranbija” announced.
Around 200 people were killed or injured at the Al Dafra U.S. base in the United Arab Emirates; one person died, and many were wounded in the U.S. Fifth Fleet in the region, according to a statement released by the state radio and television.
The statement adds that significant damage was inflicted on U.S. infrastructure and interests. In addition, a U.S. tanker was hit in the northern part of the Persian Gulf.
Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, stated that there are more than 500 casualties among U.S. soldiers.

The U.S. and Israel launched a major operation against the Islamic Republic of Iran on February 28. In Tel Aviv, officials said the operation’s goal is to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Washington threatened to destroy Iran’s fleet and defense industry and called on the country’s citizens to overthrow the regime.
On the first day of the attack, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, Ali Khamenei, was killed. A forty-day period of mourning was declared in the country.
Iran retaliated with strikes on Israeli territory, as well as on U.S. military facilities in the Middle East.
