Serbian athlete Ivana Španović broke the national record in the indoor triple jump tonight in Belgrade with a jump of 14.41 meters, achieving this year’s world-leading result of the season in that discipline and reaching the norm for the World Championships.

Španović (35) set the new record during a triangular meet between the national teams of Serbia, Croatia, and Slovenia, which was held today in the athletics hall in Banjica.

With the jump of 14.41, the Serbian woman also fulfilled the norm for the World Indoor Championships, which will be held in the Polish city of Toruń from March 20 to 22.
