Maja Petković from Niš is the proud mother of Marija Petković, who finished the telecommunication course.
-I feel so many emotions. To say that I’m proud is an understatement, there is no other word for it – says Maja, as tears slide down her face and she hugs her daughter.
-Her father is a military person, Marija always wanted to do this and now she has succeeded – she says excitedly.
Jelena Mijić from Loznica is the mother of Mihajlo, who also officially became an officer yesterday.

-The whole family is here. Dad, three brothers… We are all overjoyed. He always wanted to do this. When I see him like this in uniform, I’m bursting with pride! – she says while her husband adds:
-It’s not just pride, it’s pure happiness!
Filip Stevanović finished military electronic engineering, and his mother Žaklina couldn’t stop looking at her beautiful and proud son.
-My husband is a military person, that love is probably in his genes. For a person to experience this is pure happiness. I’m proud. Son, thank you for succeeding in this, thank you for this! – says the mother, moved, hugging her son.

-Today, you, wonderful young people, when you become officers of the Serbian Army, you begin the bravest job in the world, which preserves our freedom and which is the protector of our lives. You have one goal, to save this country from war. A big thank you to your mothers, fathers, to those who gave this country the most, their children, who must protect and defend their Serbia – said the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.
The parade of the youngest second lieutenants and cadets was also enhanced by the flyover of planes and helicopters, and on that occasion, pilot Major Goran Vidić addressed the youngest officers from the cockpit of the “mig-29” plane and congratulated them:

-Walk the path of honor and be a shield to the homeland. Long live the Serbian Army. Long live Serbia! – he said, after which the young officers threw their caps and had heartfelt hugs with their families and friends.
