Newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump addressed Republicans today in the House of Representatives in Washington ahead of his meeting with outgoing President Joseph Biden at the White House.
He spoke about his victory in last week’s presidential election, highlighting that he won in each of the “swing” states, CNN reported.

“We won in every way across all seven swing states,” Trump said, adding that Republicans in the upcoming elections could “flip” states traditionally won by Democratic candidates, such as New Jersey, New York, and California.
Later today, Republicans in the House of Representatives will hold elections for their leader, with current leader Michael Johnson expected to be re-elected to the position.
