Today, local elections were held in Negotin, Mionica, and Sečanj, where numerous irregularities were reported at polling stations, including vote-buying, parallel voter lists, and fights. In all three municipalities, mobs of SNS thugs dressed in black roamed the streets, intimidating citizens and provoking disturbances.
Due to attacks on two of their colleagues, CRTA withdrew all its observers from Mionica, while a climate of fear prevailed in Negotin and Sečanj, where cameras captured incidents of votes being bought and sold on the streets.
Vučić Declares Victory
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić declared victory for his party in all three municipalities. According to him:
- In Negotin, SNS won 69.3% of the vote, the opposition “blockade” list received 26.7%, and other lists failed to pass the threshold.
- In Sečanj, based on data from 16 of 17 polling stations, SNS won 60.9%, SPS 4.7%, and the opposition list 30.4%. Vučić stated he expects an “even more convincing” victory in the next cycle.
- In Mionica, SNS allegedly received 52.6%, while the opposition list got 38.5%.
Results Awaited Outside RTS
Citizens protesting outside Radio-Television Serbia (RTS) over biased reporting of today’s elections in Mionica, Sečanj, and Negotin used a projector to display live election results from the three municipalities.
Attacks on Citizens and Journalists in Negotin
A female citizen and journalists were attacked in Negotin. On social media, videos show men with sticks outside SNS offices in Mionica.

Dačić on Election Day Disturbances
Minister of Police Ivica Dačić stated that public order was disrupted during election day, particularly in Mionica, prompting police intervention. He confirmed arrests related to carrying prohibited items, such as sticks, and noted that incidents began early in the morning with people arriving from other cities “prepared to create chaos.”
