The basketball players of Turkey have qualified for the final of the European Championship in Riga.

In the second Eurobasket semifinal match, Turkey defeated Greece with a score of 94:68.

The team of Ergin Ataman will meet Germany in the grand final on Sunday (20:00), which defeated Finland 98:86 in the first semifinal match.

Interestingly, it will be a duel between the only two undefeated teams in the championship. Both have eight consecutive wins.

For Turkey, Sunday’s final will be the second in history at continental competitions, and in the first one in 2001, they were defeated by Yugoslavia.

Germany has played in the final of the European Championship twice. They won their only title in 1993 by defeating Russia, while in 2005 in Belgrade, they were defeated by Greece.

Previously on the same day (16:00), Greece and Finland will fight for the bronze medal.

A close match between fierce rivals was expected, but we watched a one-way street. Turkey stepped on the gas from the start, completely neutralizing Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Greek offense with fantastic defense.

They scored easy points from counterattacks with fantastic shooting percentages and a lot of beautiful plays. Osmani especially stood out with 18 points in the first 20 minutes.

Already after the first quarter, Turkey had a double-digit lead 26:16, and at halftime an unreal +18, 49:31.
