Students of the “Mokranjac” Music School, from the solo singing department led by Professor Valentina Taškova, continued their string of remarkable achievements this year, successfully representing Serbia on the international music scene.
They returned with outstanding results and high placements from the prestigious “Voces Futuri 2026” International Competition, held from June 11 to 14 in Graz, Austria, where they competed against young singers from several countries.
The competition was conducted through three elimination rounds across two categories, with performances taking place in the renowned Musikverein Graz concert hall. The significance and prestige of the event were reflected in the composition of the jury, which included distinguished professors from the MDW University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and the Graz Conservatory.
Representing Serbia at this prestigious competition were Julija Ema Pavlović, Teodor Gregor Ilić, and Andrej Dimitrijević, students of the “Mokranjac” Music School. They demonstrated a high level of musical artistry while competing against participants from Austria, Portugal, Russia, Turkey, Spain, South Korea, and Slovenia.
What makes this success even more impressive is the fact that only three prizes were awarded in each category. In such strong competition, Julija Ema Pavlović won First Prize in the junior category, while Teodor Gregor Ilić earned Third Prize in the senior category.
A notable achievement was also recorded by Andrej Dimitrijević, who advanced to the semifinals of this prestigious international competition.
