A 51-year-old Serbian citizen has died in Naples after, according to initial information, he was brutally beaten on the street in the middle of the night.

The incident occurred in Pomigliano d’Arco in the province of Naples on Sunday morning around 3 AM. The Serb was found by emergency services on the street in the city center.

According to initial information, the Serb was already dead when emergency services arrived at the scene, with clear signs of a beating.

Carabinieri from the local station arrived at the scene after receiving a report that three men were injured on the street. However, the Serb was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other two men, allegedly also of Serbian origin, were found injured but their lives are not in danger.

An investigation, coordinated by the prosecutor’s office in Nola, is underway to clarify the circumstances of the incident.

Currently, the most probable theory is that it was a fight over trivial matters, possibly worsened by alcohol, which later resulted in murder, although no other possibility is excluded.

Investigators are reconstructing the incident through witness statements, video surveillance footage from the location, and a forensic examination of the victim’s body.

Efforts are also underway to clarify the relationships between the three men involved and the context in which the alleged violence occurred.

For now, no one has been arrested yet.
