Donald Trump is the new President of the United States! After Wisconsin turned red, the Republican candidate surpassed the 270 electoral votes threshold, officially returning to the White House after four years!

Trump won in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin more easily than expected, securing himself a second term in the White House.

There is a great celebration in Trump’s headquarters, and his speech is expected at any moment. His rival, Kamala Harris, has decided not to make a statement on election night.

According to preliminary results of the presidential election, the former president is comfortably leading and has won in 28 federal units. On the other hand, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris is leading in just 19. Michigan, Arizona, and Nevada are yet to be counted.

As things stand, Trump has won in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, Texas, Iowa, Maine District 2, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Ohio, Wyoming, Kansas, Louisiana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska at Large, Nebraska District 1, Nebraska District 3, Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, Florida, Alabama, Oklahoma, Mississippi, South Carolina, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Indiana.

Kamala Harris, according to current results, has won California, Virginia, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Washington, New Hampshire, Colorado, Delaware, Illinois, Maine District 1, Maine at Large, Washington D.C., New Jersey, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maryland, Vermont, and Connecticut.

According to these results, Trump leads with 268 to 212 electoral votes, which is what Harris has secured.

A victory in the election requires 270 electoral votes.

AP’s analysis showed that Harris underperformed among Black and Latino voters, who seem somewhat less likely to support Harris compared to how they supported Biden four years ago. About 8 out of 10 Black voters supported Harris, compared to about 9 out of 10 who supported Biden in 2020. More than half of Latino voters supported Harris, but this was slightly lower than the approximately 6 out of 10 who voted for Biden. Trump’s support among these groups has increased compared to 2020.

There is growing optimism in Donald Trump’s campaign headquarters as the results come in. This optimism is fueled by results from Virginia and Iowa, which seem to have disproven a poll that caused a shock in his campaign on Saturday night.
