Aleksandar Jovanov departed from Zrenjanin on July 21, walking on crutches for a humanitarian tour to support seven-year-old Filip Bajić from Perlez, who has cerebral palsy. All who wish to help Filip can do so by sending an SMS message 264 to 3800 or by making a payment to dedicated accounts.
Jovanov is accompanied on this journey by his girlfriend Nina Rađenović, Dragan Petrović from Ratkovo, and Dijana Jovanović from Temerin, who joined as medical support. For the first two days, Borko from Zrenjanin is also following them by car.
On Monday, Jovanov covered 34 kilometers from Zrenjanin to Đurđevo, and during the first day of walking, they also visited the towns of Aradac and Žabalj. On Tuesday morning, July 22, he set off from Đurđevo towards Novi Sad, passing through Šajkaš and Kać.

A Warm Welcome in Novi Sad
In Novi Sad, which he reached around 7:00 PM, he was greeted in the city center by war veterans who escorted him to Liberty Square, where Novi Sad cyclists soon arrived.
“Last month, we organized a humanitarian action for Ivan (Filip’s relative) from Bečej, and after a short rest, I decided, given the situation in the country where children are treated with SMS messages, to organize an action every month for some child or person. When I was looking for whom to walk for, I decided to start from Zrenjanin. When I heard about Filip’s case, I decided to go and meet him and his family. Filip is truly a wonderful child. An amount of 100,000 euros is needed for an operation in America. Filip suffers from cerebral palsy, and he needs that money as soon as possible,” Aleksandar Jovanov told N1, urging everyone to send an SMS and thus help Filip with his treatment.
After Novi Sad, he and his companions will continue their journey on Wednesday to Inđija, Belgrade, Pančevo, and Perlez, where Filip lives. This humanitarian tour will conclude back in Zrenjanin, where he began his walk.
