Today is a Day of Mourning in Serbia due to the great tragedy in North Macedonia where at least 59 people died in a discotheque fire and 155 were injured, and the Macedonian government declared seven days of mourning.

At state institutions and state institutions, the state flags of Serbia are lowered to half-mast, and the media and cultural institutions are obliged to adjust their program to the Day of Mourning. At least 59 people died and 155 were injured in a fire at the “Pulse” discotheque in Kočani, which broke out on March 16 around three in the morning.

By the decision of the Government of Serbia, radio broadcasting organizations for public information throughout the country are obliged to broadcast music and programs suitable for the Day of Mourning in their programs, including programs intended for abroad, instead of humorous, entertainment, folklore and other programs with entertainment and folk music.

Museums, theaters, cinemas, organizations that have musical and stage programs, archives and other institutions in the field of culture are obliged to adjust their programs.

The Day of Mourning in sports halls, stadiums and playgrounds is marked by lowering the flags of Serbia and sports clubs to half-mast or half-mast, and if it is a matter of international sports events, also by lowering the flags of international sports organizations to half-mast or half-mast.

During the Day of Mourning, it is forbidden to broadcast folk and entertainment music, or to hold entertainment programs in public places.
