When she moved from her native Belgrade to America, Jelena Đurović decided to study what she loved, rather than what would guarantee her a secure living. She enrolled in clinical psychology, eventually earning her doctorate in the field.

She chose this profession, she says, primarily because she loves helping people. It was precisely this gift that several American clinics noticed after her studies, where they offered her a job. However, she finds the most joy in helping her own people, whose struggles are close to her heart because she went through them herself.

Let’s hear how Jelena helps immigrants, what her most difficult and most beautiful career moments have been, what she’s proud of, and how much her work impacts her life…

For anyone needing Jelena’s help in Serbia or the diaspora, in person or online, anywhere in the world, she can be reached by phone at +1(847)230-0045 or via email at drd@centerfortpa.com.
