A Serbian citizen (36) was arrested in Malta after the police found drugs in his possession.
The man was arrested on Friday in Birkirkara, following surveillance conducted due to suspicions that he was involved in alleged drug trafficking.
During the surveillance on Friday, the police noticed a person approaching the vehicle in which the suspect was located, and after a suspicious contact, he was arrested, local media reports.
Police officers found several packets suspected of containing cocaine in his vehicle, while a search of the apartment revealed a certain amount of packets with alleged cannabis, which the police claim were ready for further sale, with an estimated street value of about 11,500 euros, as well as a certain amount of money.
