In the mountainous village of Dulene, near Kragujevac, the residents decided to build a church.
A year ago, they began collecting funds, and within three months, they managed to construct the building. However, they now need further help and support.
On Epiphany, they are organizing a swimming event for the Holy Cross, followed by a donor lunch.

“We are a small, poor village with limited resources, so we decided to help ourselves. We paid for two or three skilled workers, and the rest of the church was built through communal labor,” said Dejan Milenković, president of the Dulene local community.
He explained that from the foundation to the dome, the church was built in three months of collective effort.
“It was an example not only in Šumadija but throughout Serbia. People admired us from Bosnia to Croatia. Even Muslims from Bosnia sent us donations because they were so impressed. It was incredible,” Milenković said.
