The president of the Parliament of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, called regular local elections for councilors of the assemblies of nine local self-government units for March 29 of this year.

Brnabic signed the Decision on calling the elections in the central hall of the House of the National Assembly and then addressed the public:

-Today, in accordance with my powers, I made the decision to call regular local elections for 9 local self-governments, for March 29, 2026, said Brnabic, reminding that the previous local elections in those places were in 2022.

Regular local elections during 2026 must be called in Bor, the municipalities of Arandjelovac, Bajina Basta, Kladovo, Knjazevac, Kula, Lucani, Majdanpek, and Smederevska Palanka, as well as in the Uzice city municipality of Sevojno.

Some of them have already been called in the meantime, for example in Bor, Lucani, and Bajina Basta.
