NOTHING LEFT OF SIX RIFTS: Huge fire in Makiš, firefighters managed to contain the fiery element!

In the afternoon hours, a large fire broke out and spread to several rafts on the Makiš side of Ada Ciganlija. With a quick reaction, firefighter-rescuers managed to save two rafts.

Namely, on the Makiš side of the Sava River, across from Block 45 in New Belgrade, a fire initially broke out on one raft.

In the meantime, the fire spread and six rafts burned down, while the firefighters saved two at the last moment.

Due to the massive fire that engulfed the rafts, a huge thick smoke billowed and spread around.

According to unofficial information, there are no injuries and the fire has meanwhile been localized.
