Water polo players of Novi Beograd opened the game better because they had a 3:0 lead. However, on the wings of their fans, Radnički managed to overturn the result and end the first quarter with a 5:5 outcome. In the second quarter, the team from Kragujevac maintained the lead, so they went to halftime with a score of 9:6.
Radnički also won the third quarter, the play was even better, but they improved the most with their play in defense, where they managed to frequently stop Novi Beograd’s attacks, so at the entrance to the last quarter, they gained a lead of 13:7.
Novi Beograd reduced Radnički’s lead with a series of two goals, the guests’ series was interrupted by Andrija Prlainović, and until the end of the duel we saw goals by Miloš Ćuk on one side, and Strahinja Rašovića on the other side.
Radnički maintained the lead and celebrated at the end with 15:10.
Viktor Rašović was the most effective with three goals, while Nikola Jakšić, Strahinja Rašović, Boris Vapenski, and Nikola Dedović scored two each.
For Novi Beograd, Nikola Lukić scored four, and Miloš Ćuk scored two goals.
The next game will be on the schedule on Sunday, May 24, when Novi Beograd will be the host, and the champion will be the team that is the first to reach three victories.
