Amazon founder Jeff Bezos plans to donate $1 million for the inauguration of newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump.

Bezos is expected to meet with Trump in the coming days, and with this donation, he joins other technology leaders in building closer ties with the incoming administration, CNN reported.

Amazon has pledged a $1 million cash donation for the inauguration and an additional $1 million contribution by broadcasting the event on its Amazon Video network, according to the report.

Meta Platforms announced yesterday that it donated $1 million to the inauguration fund for the newly elected President of the United States, N1 reports.
