Officers of the Montenegrin police prevented a liquidation in Budva, when handcuffs were placed on two Serbian citizens, N.P. (28) from Šabac, N.P. (19) from Belgrade, as well as I.P. (35) from Budva, who is allegedly a member of an organized criminal group!

-Officers of the “South” Regional Security Center – Budva Security Department, in cooperation with officers of the Sector for the Fight against Crime, and carrying out intensified field activities aimed at the actions of organized criminal groups and operationally interesting persons, which relates to the prevention of the commission of the most serious criminal offenses, found a motorcycle suspected to have been intended for use in the commission of a serious criminal offense, and then identified a person – a foreign citizen who was illegally residing in Montenegro, and who had prepared and hidden the motorcycle, without license plates and with the key in the ignition, at an uninhabited location, thereby, it is suspected, preventing the intention to carry out criminal activities related to serious and organized crime – the statement of the Police Directorate of Montenegro reads.

As they then state, another person, also a foreign citizen, was soon found, who was also illegally residing in our territory, and whose connection with the first person is being established; these are multiple perpetrators of criminal offenses from the Republic of Serbia.

A member of an OKG from Budva was also deprived of liberty.

-Namely, police officers, carrying out measures and actions on the ground, in the Markovići settlement, in the area behind an uninhabited residential building, at the beginning of the forest, found a hidden motorcycle “Kymco Downtown 300 I”, without license plates and with the key left in the ignition. By checking the chassis number of the motorcycle, it was established that the motorcycle in question was not registered in Montenegro. After finding the motorcycle, which was suspected to have been prepared for the commission of a serious criminal offense, officers of the Budva Security Department and the Sector for the Fight against Crime proceeded with criminal processing, as well as undertaking further police measures and actions, which soon resulted in finding N.P. (19) from Belgrade, also in the Markovići settlement – the statement further states.

Police officers determined that N.P. had illegally entered Montenegro, and a subsequent check via NCB Interpol Podgorica established that N.P. is registered in police records in the Republic of Serbia as a multiple perpetrator of criminal offenses, namely unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs and endangering safety.

-The police measures and actions carried out so far indicate suspicion that N.P., with an as yet unknown person, brought and hid the mentioned motorcycle at the location in question, i.e., a forest path hidden by an uninhabited residential building, and that he removed the license plates from the motorcycle and intentionally left the key in the ignition, all so that the motorcycle would be ready for quick and inconspicuous operation.

N.P. was deprived of liberty for illegally crossing the state border and residing in Montenegro and was brought before the competent Court. After the procedures are carried out, he will be deported from Montenegro, and the police will continue with activities to establish all the facts related to his stay and intention to commit a criminal offense.

FIND OUT MORE:

-In continuation of activities related to the found motorcycle and person, police officers undertook further measures and actions, in which, also in the Markovići settlement, they found another person who did not possess documents and who identified himself to police officers, but it was established that he had provided false information about himself. The person was brought to the Budva Security Department, where criminal processing established that it was N.P. (28) from Šabac. Further processing, through Interpol, also established that he is a multiple repeat offender in the commission of criminal offenses in the territory of the Republic of Serbia, namely: aggravated murder, unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs, and illegal production, possession, carrying, and trafficking of weapons and explosive materials, and that there is an active national warrant for him in his home country for two criminal offenses, namely the criminal offense of unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs and the criminal offense of obstructing an official in the performance of official duties.

N.P., just like the first identified person, entered Montenegro illegally. It is suspected that N.P., from the moment of his illegal entry into the country, has already made contact with members of an OKG in the territory of the Municipality of Budva.

-Police activities have led to suspicion that this person used apartments and premises at three locations in the Budva area, and after obtaining a search warrant initiated with the competent court, searches were carried out at these locations, in which a certain amount of narcotics was found. N.P. was also deprived of liberty for illegally crossing the state border, as well as for possession of drugs, and he will be brought before the competent Misdemeanor Court in Budva within the legal deadline.

During the commencement of the search, I.P. (35) from Budva, a member of an OKG, was also deprived of liberty. He approached the police officers, intending to make contact with N.P. (28), and obstructed the police officers in the performance of their official duties. I.P. was brought before the competent Misdemeanor Court today.

Police officers, therefore, through efficient activities that were coordinated and planned, thwarted N.P. and N.P. in their intention to carry out criminal activities related to serious and organized crime.

The state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Kotor has been informed of all of the above. Members of the Police Directorate, in cooperation with the state prosecutor’s office, continue to undertake police-prosecutorial and investigative activities, in order to establish all the circumstances of the stay and actions of the mentioned persons in our territory, as well as activities related to the detection, prevention, and suppression of the most serious criminal offenses and the actions of criminal groups.
