In three weeks of solidarity support for employees in education, citizens of Serbia and companies have paid over 100,000,000.00 dinars into the dedicated account of the “Alek Kavčić” Foundation, and 100 million dinars of solidarity aid has been paid out in 6,000 payments to education workers.
Due to the newly emerged social circumstances that now affect employees at universities, the “Alek Kavčić” Foundation is recording an increasing number of teachers and associates from higher education institutions who are registering for solidarity support from society. At the same time, the number of educators in primary and secondary schools who need financial support is decreasing. According to the latest information, 3,000 new teaching associates at faculties have registered, for whom about 40 million dinars are needed, while the conservative estimate is that another 100 million dinars will be needed in the continuation of the campaign.
The Foundation continues to make resources available to citizens and companies for collecting donations. The Foundation has the possibility to collect donations from individuals and legal entities in Serbia and from the diaspora, through payment cards, by scanning the NBS IPS QR code, direct payments to the current account, or from abroad to the foreign currency account. All information about the collected funds, the number of education workers who have accepted the solidarity of citizens and companies, as well as the ways in which payments can be made, can be found on the platform: www.fondacijaalekkavcic.org/doniraj.
The Foundation processes new requests from education workers who have applied for support from citizens and companies daily via email: solidarnost@fondacijaalekkavcic.org, and the inflow of requests is continuously increasing.

We remind you that, at the proposal of the Belgrade Grammar Schools Forum, the university community, the IT Serbia community, and citizens, the “Alek Kavčić” Foundation joined the action of collecting funds for school employees whose February 2025 earnings were reduced due to the blockade of classes. The IT Serbia Association has formed a solidarity network and connects individuals with teachers to provide assistance, which is available via the website: mrezasolidarnosti.org.
