Serbian athlete Ivana Španović claimed victory in the triple jump event at the Slovenian Championships, held in Maribor.
Competing out of competition in the triple jump, Španović secured first place with a jump of 13.49 meters, achieved in the opening round.
The Serbian star also recorded jumps of 13.24 meters, 13.01 meters, and 13.30 meters. She fouled in the third round and skipped the sixth and final attempt.
“This was an excellent preparation session for the Hanžeković Memorial in Zagreb next Friday. We will remain in Slovenia for a short training camp before traveling to Croatia,” coach Goran Obradović said, according to the Serbian Athletics Federation.
Also competing out of competition at the Slovenian Championships was 21-year-old Natalija Dragojević, who finished second with a jump of 13.08 meters.
The Slovenian national title was won by Taja Pučko, who set a personal best of 12.86 meters.
