Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban stated today that Hungary desires a Christian Europe because it believes that only as such does it have a future, and he declared that the country will defend itself against attempts at discreditation.

“Christianity is the culture and civilization in which we live: culture is an everyday reality. Christian culture helps us to navigate the contradictions of life: it defines our approach to interpersonal relationships, including the relationship between men and women, as well as to family, success, work, and honesty,” Orban said.

He emphasized that Hungarians are Europeans and Christians, so they cannot ignore the fact that the foundations of European life are currently threatened.

“They want us to be what we are not and to become what we do not want to become. They want us to mix with people who have come from other worlds, to mix traditional gender roles, and they would even drag us into a losing war. Instead of the order of creation, confusion and mixing of things appear in all directions, signs of new anarchy, a new Babylon,” he added.

Orban said it was painful to see that war psychosis had infected Europe.

“Campaigns to discredit Hungary will not go unnoticed, Hungary will protect itself,” the Hungarian Prime Minister said.

Orban stated on Facebook that Hungarians are currently making a decision on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union. “Neither Brussels nor Kyiv likes this. That is why campaigns to discredit Hungary have been launched,” he pointed out.

As he emphasized, Hungary will protect itself and take the necessary steps.

Orban added that Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó has informed the public about this.
