Dušan Borković has given Serbia its first victory in the FIA TCR World Championship – and on the world’s most dangerous street circuit in Macau, no less.
Starting from fourth position among the world’s 32 best drivers in the second race, Borković delivered an impressive performance, overtaking all his rivals by the seventh lap. With a brilliant drive, he secured a dominant victory at the 71st Macau Grand Prix.
“I’m overjoyed! Words can’t describe it. This is the biggest achievement of my career. Not only is this the first victory for a Serbian in the FIA World Championship, but this is a victory at the 71st Macau Grand Prix. I could only dream of this as a child! A huge thank you to all my fans, my family, the team, my teammates Esteban Guerrieri and Mikel Azcona, with whom I shared the podium today. A big thank you to my partners and my Serbia for the support. We did it! We made history for Serbian and world sports!” said Borković.
