Darko Lazić and his wife Katarina suffered a serious traffic accident last night on the highway near Genex, close to the Belgrade Arena. His car collided with a bus, after which it hit the guardrail and was completely destroyed. This is the popular singer’s fourth crash.
Lazić “slammed” into an “Ikarbus” bus which, fortunately, had no passengers, only the driver R.M. (65). Unofficially, Lazić was driving a “Mercedes” owned by a leasing company. Lazić was diagnosed with minor physical injuries at the VMA (Military Medical Academy), while Katarina was transported to KBC Zemun (Zemun Clinical Hospital Center).
Just a few hours before the accident, Darko Lazić and his wife Katarina were seen in the company of Katarina’s sister Tijana Matić, as well as Darko’s ex-wife Ana Sević and her husband Danijel. Posts on social media show that they were spending time at a Belgrade kafana (traditional restaurant/bar), and that among those present were his colleagues, godmother Andreana Čekić and singer Boban Radojević, known as Samo Bob.
Although Lazić stressed that he had not consumed alcohol or psychoactive substances, Nova.rs unofficially learns that the singer had more than 1.9 per mille of alcohol in his blood at the time of the accident.
Supporting the claim that he consumed alcohol the previous evening is a post by the singer Samo Bob, which shows Lazić drinking, while several bottles of alcohol are on the table.
Angry users’ comments are lining up beneath the Instagram post. “Straight to prison,” wrote one. “He won’t calm down until he kills someone,” replied another.
As a reminder, concerning this accident, the prosecutor of the Third OJT (Third Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office) was informed and ordered the vehicles to be examined and the driver’s blood to be taken for analysis.
Both the “Mercedes” and the bus were transported for traffic-technical expertise. The Third OJT in Belgrade is leading the investigation in this case.
