Four people were slightly injured in a fire that broke out at the Department of Psychiatry of the General Hospital in Požarevac, RTS reports.
The fire broke out in the early morning hours, and the on-duty hospital staff reacted quickly and extinguished the flames using handheld fire extinguishers, the outlet reports.
Evacuation and relocation of patients then began, RTS writes.
Four people were slightly injured, as stated, and are out of life-threatening danger. Their medical condition continues to be monitored and they have been placed under observation.
The remaining patients, 15 of them, have been redistributed within the hospital, the outlet reported.
Police are at the scene and are conducting an investigation.
