American pilot had to make a bold move during the rescue from Iran
An American officer, a crew member of the plane shot down on Friday in Iran, had to make a “bold move” early this morning to meet the rescue team that entered that country, according to American officials familiar with the rescue operation.
Officials stated that American MQ-9 Reaper drones fired at Iranians who were trying to capture the downed American pilot during his approximately 36-hour stay in the mountainous region of Iran before he was rescued.
The “New York Times” reports that two transport planes, which were supposed to transport the rescued pilot and commandos from Iran, got stuck on a temporary runway in that country and had to be blown up, and that three new planes were sent to Iran to take out the pilot and the soldiers.
The American military blew up the transport planes so they would not fall into Iranian hands.

In a post on the social network Truth Social, Trump stated that “during the past few hours, the United States military conducted one of the boldest search and rescue operations in US history,” for one of America’s “incredible officers, who is also a highly respected colonel.”
– This brave warrior was behind enemy lines in the dangerous mountains of Iran, where he was pursued by our enemies, who were closing in on him hour by hour, but he was never truly alone because his Commander-in-Chief, Secretary of War, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and his fellow soldiers monitored his location 24 hours a day and diligently planned his rescue – Trump pointed out.
The American president said that, according to his instruction, the United States military “sent dozens of planes, armed with the deadliest weapons in the world, to pull him out.”
