On Saturday around 4:45 p.m., a 50-year-old German reported via an emergency call to the police that he had just killed another man. Several patrol vehicles were immediately sent to Prelank/Neustrelitz, where the crime allegedly took place.
At the scene, police officers found the suspect and secured the alleged means of execution – a crossbow. The body of a man was found on his estate. It is a 32-year-old citizen of Serbia.
The initial circumstances and the investigation at the scene further strengthened the suspicion against the 50-year-old, who at the time of the intervention had a blood alcohol concentration of 2.79 per mille. He was arrested.
According to initial findings, before the crime, there was a quarrel between the two men who knew each other. The exact motive and other details are still being investigated.
The suspect was brought before a detention judge yesterday, Sunday. At the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Neubrandenburg, the judge issued a detention order on suspicion of manslaughter. The suspect is now in custody during the investigation.
