Last night, a real drama unfolded in the village of Miroševac near Leskovac when S.J. (48) attacked his wife (47) after a verbal argument, with a hand grenade in his hand, threatening to activate it. The brave woman, struggling with her husband, managed to snatch the grenade from his hand and throw it through the window, as confirmed by the police.
According to media reports, the grenade exploded in the house’s yard, and the woman then fled to her neighbors for safety.
“After the explosion, which disturbed the village, the woman fled to the neighbors, the police were called, and he locked himself in the house,” says one of the neighbors, who states that the assailant was most likely intoxicated.
Suspect Arrested After Negotiations
We learn from the police that multiple teams were mobilized, and the man was subdued after lengthy negotiations.
He was taken into custody with a criminal complaint for domestic violence and for illegal possession of weapons and explosive devices.
Unofficially, we learn that S.J. was recently treated for alcoholism.
The couple lives with the assailant’s mother and two adult children. It is currently unknown whether their two children were in the house at the time of the incident.
